Strengthening Capacity for Policy Dialogue (SCDP) is funded by the US Department of State.
The aim of the project is to strengthen the capacity of civil society to organize, reconcile internal divisions and formulate clear grievances and objectives on behalf of affected populations in order to support dialogue and peace initiatives in the regions of the North-West and the South-West. The project will pursue two objectives:
- Objective 1: Identify and raise awareness among peace champions and potential troublemakers in resolving the crisis in the North West and South West regions of Cameroon.
- Objective 2: Strengthen the capacities of civil society for dialogue and peacebuilding
CPHDA ensured capacity building of local partners to promote peace and resolve conflicts, as a neutral and effective responsible for the implementation of peace and development programs in Cameroon, the CPHDA team strengthened the capacities of civil society partners so that they are ready and able to confront the Anglophone crisis and promote peace. Although the road to lasting peace in Cameroon is long, SCPD has supported civil society to take the crucial first steps, creating a solid foundation for future conflict resolution work.
