Addressing the many drivers of fragility that fuel violent extremism in the communities we serve has been CPHDA’s priority over the past decade. We program at the intersection of violent extremism and fragility with the goal of building resilient communities capable of addressing, through community mechanisms and solutions, the multi-pronged vulnerabilities that threaten the communities they we serve. At CPHDA, we know that conflicts and crises are the consequence of the lack of transparency and good governance, of social injustice, of the exclusion and marginalization of a segment of the population, of the lack of democracy, the low level of education of the populations, the lack of economic opportunities and all types of frustrations and that all of these factors inevitably lead to violence and terror. This is why CPHDA works tirelessly with communities and Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) in its various countries of intervention to promote tolerance and reduce the risk of conflict. CPHDA implements results-oriented programs that successfully mitigate the effects of conflict, boost peacebuilding efforts, and support democratic transitions and political stability.
