The WABiLED Project aims to promote biodiversity conservation and low-emission, climate-resilient development in West Africa. Although regional in scope and design, this activity will be concentrated in targeted terrestrial geographic areas within the region to improve governance and policies related to essential natural and human systems.
A qualitative survey (Focus group and interview) was carried out, in total 3 focus groups and 17 individual interviews.
The different objectives were as follows:
- Combat wildlife trafficking and conserve great ape populations.
- Reduce deforestation, forest degradation and biodiversity loss in key forests.
Reduce greenhouse gas emissions and increase carbon sequestration from land use.
