The Citizen Participation, Community Integration and Culture of Peace in Schools Project (PCICCP) is funded by the United States Embassy for the period 2010-2012. It is implemented in collaboration with -The Ministry of National Education ,
-The Ministry of Justice, Human Rights and Public Liberties
-The Ministry of Culture and La Francophonie
The objective of the Project is to contribute to the emergence in the school environment of students who will integrate into their habits peaceful behavior, civic values and love of their country beyond all political divisions and religious while respecting cultural diversity, in particular:
- Instill civic values in students.
- Create the conditions for dialogue and community integration.
- Promoting the Culture of Peace in schools
The activities carried out by CPHDA as part of the Citizen Participation, Community Integration and Culture of Peace in Schools Project are as follows:
- Develop a citizenship manual
- Strengthen the capacities of teachers in Citizenship Education
- Train students on civic values, elections and human rights
- Creation of citizenship clubs
- Organize debate shows on citizenship on radio and television
- Create a multimedia resource center on citizenship and culture of peace
- Organize awareness campaigns on the culture of peace
