In 2023, USAID/OTI has commissioned EnCompass LLC to conduct the evaluation, which has subcontracted the Center for the Promotion of Human Rights and Development in Africa (CPHDA) to conduct data collection in Ghana, Benin and Togo for the evaluation.
The purpose of this evaluation was to assess (1) the relevance of activity outputs against the context and opportunity; (2) the effectiveness of activity outcomes (both intended and unintended) to strengthen awareness of/take action against VE, and to improve intra-community engagements between groups in conflict; (3) recommendations and lessons around LRI’s CVE programming to help amplify the outcomes to produce institutional change in targeted areas. Key output are the following:
- Key Informant Interviews with activity participants and local partners
- Focus Group Discussions with key stakeholders
- Questionnaires administered in communities
Objective 1: Local and national actors take action to increase community stability.
l Objective 1.1 : Strengthen key stakeholders’ capabilities and motivation to address drivers of instability
l Objective 1.2: Increase the engagement of key stakeholders in their communities on VE-related issues.
Objective 2: Strengthen cohesion in targeted communities
l Objective 2.1: Increase sustained positive inter and intra-community engagements between targeted groups in conflict.
l Objective 2.2: Increase social inclusion of marginalized groups in key areas
